Bracknell Dentist Trials New Product For Oral B

Bracknell Dentist Oral B Test DriveWe are pleased to announce that Appledore has been chosen as one of only 100 practices throughout the UK to trial a new product for Oral B 

The new product is called the ‘Test Drive’, this enables dental professionals to trial the ‘Oral B’ electric toothbrush in patient’s mouths by using clinically hygienic interchangeable disposable heads.

From July 2014 Appledore Bracknell will have the ability to give you the sensation of trialling an ‘Oral B’ toothbrush for yourself. 

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity please book yourself in with the Appledore therapist for a hygiene visit and ask them about the ‘Oral B Test Drive’.

Bracknells Singing Dentist Fed Ex Apologizes

Bracknell dentist gets apology from Fed Ex for losing Elvis' tooth.  A lovely parcel containing unusual tea, coffee and spa products arrived at Appledore today with apologies from Fed Ex.

Dr Teresa invites Appledore Binfield patients to arrive early for their appointments and have the time to enjoy one of these fab tea or coffees while they're available, the spa products home were put in a draw and one of the lucky team took these home for a pamper session.

Fed Ex (in error) took the Elvis tooth for an extra tour round the UK so it was late arriving for our planned Elvis day on 29th May.

Appledore are giving FREE mouth cancer screenings  Raising awareness of mouth cancer and hoping to keep Bracknell residents free from this disfiguring and lethal disease.

Dental Association (BDA) as committed to good practice and has retained its Good Practice Scheme Status. This means that the clinic meets nationally recognised standards in order to provide the best possible care for its patients.

As a member of the BDA Good Practice Scheme, each member of the dental team has signed up to the following commitment:

Bracknell Dentist Explains About Bacterial Infection Peri- Implantis

Peri-implantitis is an inflammatory disease marked by bacterial infection and the gradual loss of jaw bone supporting dental implants. It’s not yet clear whether the infection causes the bone to recede, or the bone loss exposes the area to bacteria.

Ten years ago, professionals said the condition didn’t exist. But now it is on the rise, as increasing numbers of people have replacement porcelain crowns with titanium roots. 

 Half-a-million adults have at least one dental implant, according to the latest Adult Dental Health Survey.  Studies have suggested that one third of patients will be infected. “We’re sitting on a time bomb,” says Dr Stephen Jacobs, a past president of the Association of Dental Implantology and well-respected implant surgeon. “We are going to be seeing more and more cases.”

Appledore celebrates it's 25th birthday in February 2015 and we’re having a gala ball to celebrate, we decided it would be great to have a  ‘transformation’ for the event which will be raising funds for 3 charities.  All profits will be split between Dental Mavericks, Berkshire Community Foundation and Milton Keynes Community Foundation.

All the names of our patients that we knew would love a dream treatment but couldn’t go ahead for financial or personal reason were put into a draw to win their dream treatment.  
The lucky winner was Miranda Marsala , she will be having over £10k treatment including, crowns, bridges and whitening and will show this off at our gala ball at the Madjeski Stadium in Reading on 27th February 2015.
