35 hours per week with rota’d shifts, from 7.30am - 8.30pm, Mon – Fri & some Saturdays. 

Bubbly person with cold calling experience to undertake:-
  • telesales
  • database management
  • take bookings & payments
  • general reception/office work. 
Must have GCSE's grade C and above in English, Maths & Science.

Please note this is a 12 month contract. If a suitable position is available after this contract finishes you will be considered for it.

Bracknell Smile Maker Dr Teresa Day Gets Go Ahead for 2013 Morocco Mission of Mercy

Bracknell Dentist  Dr Teresa well known for her charity work, has just been granted a special license to

travel to the remote Rif Mountains region. 

Her mission of mercy departs on September 29th 2013 for seven hard, gruelling, yet fulfilling days. 

The first destination is a remote school in a fishing village, with 650 children and a high intake of honey, sweet mint tea, and no dental health service - this all contributes to extreme dental decay. The goal here is to treat 200 kids.

Then on to a second project in collaboration with Rifcom.org to take a further 150 children out of daily dental pain. http://www.rifcom.org/

Dr Teresa is usually found treating patients in her comfortable practice in Binfield, Bracknell surrounded by modern day dental equipment, running water, and a fabulous support team. Everything she could ever need.
Cally Gedge fellow co-founder of the award winning Dental Mavericks charity, who organises the annual expedition said, “This is our fourth year and this Moroccan community now relies on UK dentists to rid them from the daily pain of decayed teeth. There is no free or easy to access dental care.”
Dr Teresa will post updates on our facebook page whilst she’s in Morocco during the expedition.
Dr Teresa finances her own trip, plus loses revenue whilst away from Appledore. She has donated a dental wand to assist with pain relief and has had a charity sale at the clinic for the last 6 months to raise funds.

Emergency incident at Bracknell Dentist last night our team were brilliant

Our team were brilliant – did everything by the book, very proud of them all.

One of our patients collapsed in the lounge when he was booking his next appointment, he fainted and went down like a ninepin and hit his head on the floor.

He needed an ambulance as he’d sustained a head injury.

This is a something that rarely happens so its nice to know that the training we give our team worked in practice.

Dr Teresa spoke with the chap today, he's okay and he thanked her profusely for the care we gave him.

Up to May 2013 whether you knew it or not, your dentist would prescribe your hygiene /therapist treatment, you weren't allowed by law to see these dental professionals without a valid prescription. 

However, in May 2013 Direct Access was introduced in the UK. Allowing you to visit dental hygienists /therapists without being referred by a dentist and without a prescription (providing the dentist in charge of the clinic agrees). 

Here at Appledore Bracknell we are happy for you to see our therapists directly, as we know that should you have any issues with your teeth they will refer you to the Appledore dentist.
