Appledore recently changed an office storage area into their brand new decontamination room.
  • Do you wonder if the ‘clean’ instruments the dentist uses in your mouth are really clean
  • Do you wonder what happens to them once they have finished your treatment?
Current dental legislation requires that all dental instruments are cleaned to a specific level to ensure you don’t catch any bugs.  Appledore have some instruments that are only used once and then thrown away as it is more costly to clean them adequately than it is to replace them with new ones after each use.

Dr Teresa Appledore Clinical Director and Founder says ‘our previous decon area worked but was time consuming for the team, our new decon room (whilst costly) has been in action for a few weeks and is wonderful.  It makes it much easier for the team to ensure ‘best practice’ is undertaken.  If any of our patients want to have a look around it we are always happy to oblige.’
